‘What’s Up Dock?’ event planned Jan. 24

MARQUETTE — The Marquette Regional History Center will present “What’s Up Dock? A History of the Harbor” at 7 p.m. Jan. 24 in the Kaufman Auditorium.

Jim Koski and Jack Deo pair up to tell the audience about the docks and the harbor. The show will feature a history of the docks, schooners and freighters, the fishing industry, shipwrecks and fires. There also will be rare and never-seen-before photographs from the Superior View and Longyear Library collections.

A viewing of vintage movie footage of the ore docks and harbor is planned as well.

The event is a fundraiser for the Marquette Regional History Center.

Tickets are $15 for first-floor seating and $20 for balcony in advance; or $20 for first-floor seating and $25 for balcony at the door.
