Spring elections Tuesday in Wisconsin

Wisconsin voters will head to the polls Tuesday to choose local council and board positions, but Marinette and Florence counties have mostly uncontested races.

The few contested races or referendums appear on ballots in the Goodman-Armstrong Creek School District and the towns of Beecher, Dunbar, Florence, Aurora and Long Lake.

Three candidates are running for two seats on the Goodman-Armstrong Creek School Board: incumbents Laura Klescewski and David Ziolkowski plus challenger David Rock.

In Beecher, incumbent Supervisor 1 Daniel Groy faces a challenge from Dwayne Hanzel.

Dunbar voters will decide if the town’s clerk/treasurer should be appointed by the town board or remain an elected position.

Incumbent Tim Bomberg and Scott Young will vie for Florence town chairman.

Aurora Town Chairwoman Elizabeth Bock will try to defend her seat against challenger Tom Kowalkowski. The town also has a three-way race for two supervisor positions between incumbents Sandra Hedmark and Tom Krans and challenger Larry Schabel.
