Meltdown begins
Stockbridge Avenue near West F Street in Iron Mountain had puddles approximately 2 feet deep Wednesday as temperatures reached 41, with about a quarter-inch of rain. The meltdown led the National Weather Service office in Marquette to issue a flood watch through Friday morning for parts of the central and western U.P. Counties affected include Dickinson, Iron and Menominee in the Daily News area, plus Marquette, Delta, Baraga, Houghton, Schoolcraft, Alger, Gogebic, Keweenaw, Luce and Ontonagon.
