Girls basketball: Florence routs Coleman
COLEMAN, Wis. — Kathleen Selden netted 15 points and three other Bobcats scored in double figures as Florence downed Coleman 73-47 in non-conference girls basketball Tuesday.
“We jumped out to a quick lead and then handled their pressure, broke their press,” said Florence coach Brad Perry. “We didn’t turn the ball over a lot.”
Savannah Vassar added 14 points, Jenna Spring scored 13 and Madison Neuens tacked on 10 points in the balanced Florence attack.
“It was a team effort,” Perry said. “They all played really hard.”
Although the score was lopsided, it was a physical game. Florence was whistled for 26 fouls and Coleman 19.
The Bobcats will play at home Tuesday, Dec. 4, against Laona-Wabeno.
Florence JV won 36-32.
