Huey Lewis, Heart tribute bands at the Island Resort & Casino
Harris, Mich. — Two fabulous tribute bands will rock the Island Resort & Casino Showroom in October.
On Friday, Oct. 4, it’s The Heart of Rock ‘N Roll, America’s No. 1 tribute to Huey Lewis and the News. Saturday, Oct. 5, magic takes the stage, as Magic Man: The Music of Heart lights up the Island Showroom.
The Heart of Rock ‘N Roll goes beyond mere tribute, with a frontman who brings to life the look and sound of Huey Lewis so accurately it’s uncanny. After seeing them live, Sean Hopper, founding member of Huey Lewis and the News, called it, “A surreal experience. Their attention to detail, both vocally and every other way is astounding.” This popular tribute band brings Huey Lewis and the News’ infectious blend of rock, pop, blues and soul to audiences of all ages. With unforgettable hits like, “Hip to Be Square,” “Stuck with You,” “I Want a New Drug,” “The Power of Love,” and of course, “The Heart of Rock & Roll.”
The show is a non-stop multimedia ride through all of Huey Lewis and the News’ biggest hits in a colorful and exciting concert complete with video, costume changes and engaging audience interaction.
Doors open at 7:15 p.m. Eastern time Oct. 4, wit show at 8 p.m. Tickets are $20.
Magic Man: The Music of Heart honors the world-famous American-Canadian rock band. The sounding tribute recreates the album sounds of the hits blended with the live energy of one of rock’s most epic bands. The show covers the greatest hits of Heart through the decades. The band features enthralling vocals in honor of the fabulous Wilson sisters.
