Alpha Brewing’s annual Yooptober Fest on Saturday
ALPHA — The third-annual Yooptober Fest will take place Saturday at Alpha Brewing Co.
The event kicks off at noon with the tapping of their Yooptober Fest Brew.
Live music will feature Bryan Drewyor, the One Human Band of the local area playing soul, rock, folk and blues from 12:30 to 3:30 p.m.
The U.P.-based Them Two will entertain from 4 to 7 p.m. with indie, bluegrass, Americana and country acoustic music.
Judging for the lederhosen and dirndl contest will start at 3:30 p.m. First- and second-place winners will receive Alpha Brewery gift cards.
After the costume contest, they will see who will be the “last man standing” in the Masskrugstemmen event. The winner of the stein-holding contest will also receive a brewery gift card.
They will have other activities, including axe throwing by Back 40 Axe Throwing. A vendor village will be open.
Food trucks available are Thermal Chaos, Smokler’s BBQ and S&J Foods.
Yooptober Fest merchandise will be for sale.
