Oktoberfest in IM on Saturday
IRON MOUNTAIN — The 10th-annual Oktoberfest celebration takes place Saturday in downtown Iron Mountain.
Kicking off the festivities at noon will be the popular Marquette group The DayDreamers. The variety band will perform until 2:30 p.m.
Taking stage from 3 to 6 p.m. will be the variety rock and country group Backstage Pass of the Wisconsin Valley area.
Sixx Gunns Loaded of Green Bay, Wis., closes out the evening as they entertain the crowd with their ’80s classic rock music from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m.
The Iron Mountain Downtown Development Authority will also bring back its stein holding and hammerschlagen competitions.
A variety of craft and local brews will be available, along with other selections and non-alcohol beverages.
The Curious Pig and Millie’s Market will serve authentic dishes along with their popular menu items.
The kids area will be open from noon to 5 p.m.
Admission is $10 at the gate, no charge for ages 10 and younger.
