IRON MOUNTAIN — The local band Oz will perform for the Sandstone Terrace in Iron Mountain summer season opening on Saturday.

The variety classic rock group will play from 7 to 10:30 p.m. There will be a $5 cover charge.

On Thursday, May 22, the local duo Norton & Chartier will perform a variety of acoustic classic rock tunes from 6 to 9 p.m.

Sunday — Four Seasons Island Resort and Frog Country 101.5 partner for the Battle of the Bands competition. Mane Event Karaoke will kick it off at 11 a.m., with the contest to start at noon. Five acts including Fire On High, Seth Brown Duo, Leo G & The White Knights, D.B. Rouse, and 141 North will compete to be the local band at the state contest at the Hodag Festival in July. Admission is free, with prizes awarded including two Hodag tickets.

Pine Grove Bar, Republic — Friday, Spun of the Marquette area (rock music), 8 to midnight Central time.

Saturday — Noah Bauer of the Marquette area (variety acoustic music), 2 to 5 p.m. Central time; Iron Daisy Acoustic featuring Michal Hauswirth and Gena Johnson of the Negaunee/Marquette area, (variety acoustic music), 7 to 10 p.m. Central time.
