Rudolph “Rudy” Burie celebrated his 103rd birthday on Feb. 24 at Pinecrest Medical Care Facility in Powers. The staff sang “Happy Birthday,” and he shared his cake with everyone in the dining room following lunch. Burie often reminisces about his life experiences such as being drafted in World War II, his children, and where he has worked through the years. He enjoys visiting with people and often comments about his favorite nurse aide. “Everyone at Pinecrest hopes you had a wonderful birthday and wish you many more,” a staff member said.
