Valentine royalty

Elegantly adorned in red and pink, jewelry and smiles, residents of the Iron County Medical Care Facility celebrated another memorable Valentine’s Day. With the help of volunteers on the beautification committee, residents were dressed to the nines. Through many donations, the facility has collected a gorgeous array of dresses and was able provide each resident with their own dress or formal menswear. Volunteers and staff shared their time and talents to help to do special hair, makeup and nails in preparation for the party. Jimmy Clement entertained the crowd with his delightful voice and snappy moves. Residents be-bopped along while enjoying homemade cupcakes. Each year during the Valentine’s Day party, the king and queen, who are chosen by the residents, staff, and guests, are announced. This year’s king and queen were Matt Butorac and Jean Phillips. They received a crown and tiara along with flowers, a certificate, and a champagne toast.
