Kiwanis donate to Girl Scouts

The Iron Mountain-Kingsford Kiwanis recently donated $600 to the Glow ‘N Walk of Hope at Flivver Field. The donation will go directly to the Girl Scout Troop 5143’s project of beautifying Kingsford Middle School with positive, uplifting quotes and wall art. They also hope to give some to other schools. From left are Trisha Peterson of Kiwanis, Breana Primeau of Girl Scout Troop 5143 and Megan Buck of Kiwanis. “Kiwanis’ motto is ‘Serving the Children of the World.’ We are proud to be a small part of it in Iron Mountain-Kingsford area,” Peterson said. Those who want to learn more about Kiwanis are encouraged to attend a service project or social event. Regular updates on projects can be received by liking the Kiwanis of Iron Mountain-Kingsford’s Facebook Page. Kiwanis meets twice a month at noon at Pine Grove Country Club. Call Peterson at 906-774-5731 to attend as a guest, as they pre-order meals for the noon meeting. It is possible to attend the noon meetings and not reserve a lunch.
