KINGSFORD — The Parkinson Society of Dickinson County Area once again will host Dr. Steven Schechter, a neurologist from West Bloomfield, at the support group meeting Thursday, Oct. 17.  

Check-in will begin at 10 a.m. at the First Presbyterian Church on Hamilton Avenue in Kingsford. Coffee will be available.

Dr. Schechter will speak on the medication Xadago which has recently been approved by the FDA for use with Parkinson patients.

After lunch, he again will direct a yoga routine done in a seated position, as he is a certified yoga instructor.

Lunch will be provided free of charge by Stephanie Belf of U.S. World Meds.

All area Parkinson patients and their caregivers are invited.

“We hope to see a full house attending this informative and enjoyable meeting,” facilitator Pauline Hill said.
