Women’s March Post Reception planned Saturday in Marquette
MARQUETTE — The Northern Michigan University Public Relations Student Society of America chapter will host the second-annual Women’s March Post Reception, Rise U.P., from 2 to 5 p.m. Eastern time Saturday at the Ore Dock Brewing Co. in Marquette.
The Women’s March Post Reception, Rise U.P., which follows the fourth-annual Global Women’s March, Women Rising, will showcase empowering female professors from NMU and the executive director of the Women’s Center. Female artists from NMU’s Student Art Gallery and other organizations also will be featured. This event is an opportunity for others to support women within the community.
Participating organizations include: PRSSA, League of Women Voters, Planned Parenthood and NMU’s SAG.
PRSSA is a pre-professional organization for students studying public relations, communications, marketing and other related fields of study. NMU’s chapter of PRSSA is responsible for all of the planning and coordinating of The Women’s March Post Reception, Rise U.P. event.
