KINGSFORD — The Knights of Columbus, Council 1585, presented medals of Father Michael J. McGivney to The Rev. Paul Nomellini and Don Christy, a church deacon.

Father Michael J. McGivney was the priest who founded the Knights of Columbus in 1882, with the intent of providing Catholic men support through charity, unity and fraternity.

The Knights of Columbus gather for a Second Saturday Seminar each month to discuss and learn how to become better Catholic gentlemen and to strengthen their Catholic faith.

Nomellini and Christy, along with Knight and Field Agent Jeffrey Couper, have spearheaded this seminar.

The Knights of Columbus, Council 1585, encourage any Catholic men and their spouses to join them at 1520 W. Breitung Ave. in Kingsford for their next Second Saturday Seminar, scheduled for March 14.
