NORWAY — The next meeting of the Norway-Vulcan Women’s Club will be 11:30 a.m. Thursday, March 12, at Mike’s on Main in Norway.

All area women are invited.

The February meeting had special guest Jonathan Ringel, director of Northern Lights YMCA-Dickinson Center.

He is a graduate of Northern Michigan University with a bachelor’s degree in planning and a master’s degree in urban planning from Eastern Michigan University.

He gave an interesting review of the history of the center and the recently completed capital campaign renovation. The YMCA is a charitable organization specializing in youth development, healthy living and aquatics, he said.

They have a large fitness center, indoor pool, sauna and gymnasium with a CPR-certified staff on site at all times. Also available is a Little Lights tot watch service and Little Sparks child care center.
