Purdue University students, faculty to study Iron County streams next week
IRON RIVER — Students and faculty of Purdue University conduct field studies next week of several Iron County streams.
The group’s findings will be presented to the public at 6 p.m. Friday, May 17, at the Windsor Center auditorium in Iron River.
All are welcome to attend to learn how their studies were conducted and the resulting data on aquatic health of the local streams.
The annual education program is sponsored by the Iron County Watershed Coalition, whose mission is to educate and engage the community in projects that will restore and preserve watersheds for future generations.
