Dulcimer, accordion duo to perform at Windsor Center
IRON RIVER– The Windsor Center and Northwoods Music Collaborative will host a concert by internationally acclaimed musicians Stas Venglevski and Tatyana Krasnobaeva on Sunday, Sept. 15. The concert begins at 2 p.m. at the Windsor Center, 612 Adams St. in Iron River.
Over the years, the cimbalom, known around here as the hammer dulcimer, and bayan, known as the button accordion, have evolved from their traditional folk instruments roots and today lend themselves to limitless repertoires. Upon first hearing of the rare talent of Belarusian cimbalom player, Tatyana Krasnobaeva back in 2017, Stas Venglevski was eager to collaborate with her on a U.S. tour.
Concert admission is by donation on a “come as you are, pay what you can” basis. All ages are welcome and doors open at 1:30 p.m. Refreshments will be available for purchase.
