Crystal Falls Community District Library programs set
CRYSTAL FALLS — The Crystal Falls Community District Library will host three different upcoming programs for the public.
All are free and each will have refreshments available.
Life Coach Angie Dohl will host a seminar “A Primer on The Enneagram,” from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday. The Enneagram is a map that guides a person to seeing his or her behavioral and thought patterns. Sometimes the Enneagram is referred to as a personality typing system, and although it is that, it is so much more.
“The Enneagram is a profound map that helps us recognize our unique way of filtering and responding to the world,” said Evelyn Gathu, librarian in Crystal Falls. “It helps us to see our repeating patterns — patterns that may be keeping us stuck or feeling unfulfilled.”
During the program, Dohl will introduce the many facets Enneagram offers for personal development beyond the stereotypes of the nine personality types.
Some questions that may be answered through studying the Enneagram —
— Why do I seem to keep finding myself in the same situation?
— How might overusing my strengths limit me?
— Why does my partner seem to be looking at a different world?
— How do I incorporate my strengths into everyday actions?
— How can I stop getting in my own way?
The Enneagram is a profound map that lays out the route for each individual to journey into living more compassionately, into the deeper truths of who we were created to be and how one interacts with the world.
Jackie VanOss Judd will host a sourdough workshop at 6 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 12. “So if you ever wanted to learn how to make sourdough bread, here is your chance to come and learn all about it,” Gathu said.
Also at 6 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 12, “Crafting with Marissa” returns to the library. This month the project is to learn how to make T-shirt bags.
Feel free to bring a favorite T-shirt to use, or if you do not have one, some will be available to use to create a handcrafted handbag.
