Emily Cummings was guest speaker at the June Iron Mountain-Kingsford General Federation of Women’s Club meeting at Pine Grove Country Club in Iron Mountain. Cummings presented a slide presentation of the Kentucky Derby, including many of California Chrome, a Kentucky Derby horse that has a tie to the area. She noted that the owner’s grandmother resides in Iron Mountain. In keeping with the Derby theme, the ladies wore big hats. Dee Benjamin won the prize for the best Kentucky Derby hat. Tamara Juuls’ trophy’s, roses and horses on each table made the setting perfect.
