IRON MOUNTAIN — First National Bank & Trust again will be the Signature Sponsor for the 2019 Oktoberfest on Sept. 28, the Downtown Development Authority announced.

“Oktoberfest is one of the major fundraiser events for the DDA, and without a signature sponsor, the success of this event would not be possible,” said Chelsey Lillge, DDA event coordinator. “First National Bank & Trust has been the signature sponsor for this event for several years. Words cannot express how much their continued support means to the DDA and this community.”

Boss Snowplow is the music sponsor for Oktoberfest and has been another continued supporter of this event. This sponsorship has allowed the DDA to bring in quality performers to the stage, along with a qualified sound engineer.

Other local businesses continue to support Oktoberfest with sponsorships of many levels. This year, thanks to CCI Systems, the Children’s Area Sponsor, children 12 and under will be admitted free to the event. They can enjoy a number of family-friendly activities throughout the event, as well as the free children’s area, which is open from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., with inflatable bounce houses, face painters, and balloon animals.

A new addition to Oktoberfest this year is Kids Eat Free, sponsored by Lucas Davidson with Multi State Realty. This will allow ages 12 and younger to order a free meal off the kid’s menu, while supplies last.

The 2019 Oktoberfest Gold Sponsors include Northern Instate Bank and the Tourism Association of the Dickinson County Area. Silver Sponsorship is provided by Northwoods Manufacturing.

“Thank you again to all of the generous sponsors of Oktoberfest for helping us continue this cherished event. Our events are what help contribute to growing and beautifying our downtown district.” Lillge said.

Oktoberfest will take place 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 28, in the city parking lot at the intersection of East A and Iron Mountain streets.

Tickets are $8 at the entrance, with all proceeds benefiting the Iron Mountain DDA. For more information on sponsorships and the event, go to the DDA’s website at www.downtownironmountain.com.
