Bay College sets Microsoft Excel training sessions in January

ESCANABA — Bay College Training and Development will offer two Microsoft Excel training sessions in January at its main Escanaba campus.

“Microsoft Excel — Top Skills and Tools Everyone Needs to Know” will take place from 6 to 9 p.m. Eastern time Tuesday, Jan. 14.

This training will cover how to use the most popular functions in Microsoft Excel, including: formulas and functions, conditional formatting, using tables, summarizing data using pivot tables and using VLOOKUP to match data from two different data ranges.

Attendees should be familiar with using Excel at a beginner or intermediate level. Cost is $45 and includes materials.

“How to Use Microsoft Excel to Analyze Data” will be offered from 6 to 9 p.m. Eastern time Tuesday, Jan. 21.

This consultative and hands-on, project-based workshop will allow participants to work in an open lab environment with their own project. Attendees will: define the end-result information, apply formulas and functions to achieve results, develop a customized plan to obtain desired results and analyze data for decision making.

For desired instructor-to-student ratio, this training is limited to six participants. Cost is $65 and includes materials.
