IRON MOUNTAIN — The owners of Oddfellows restaurant in downtown Iron Mountain have taken on new partners in the business.

Heather and Matt Ruesch join as investors and partners, “bringing their expertise and passion to the restaurant,” owners Jesse and Erica Land stated in a news release.

Oddfellows, which opened its doors at 421 S. Stephenson Ave. in March 2023, offers a farm-to-table menu featuring fresh ingredients; a full-service bar with curated selection of fine wines, imported beers, spirits and inspired non-alcoholic beverages; and a unique ambiance in a historic downtown Iron Mountain property.

“Erica and I are so fortunate to have Matt and Heather joining us at Oddfellows,” Jesse Land said in the news release. “We knew we needed additional support to help the restaurant thrive, and Matt and Heather truly are a perfect fit for what the restaurant needs. I’m confident that both the business and the community will benefit from their involvement.”

Heather Ruesch’s background in the food service industry runs deep, having spent her childhood in the world of fine dining alongside her father, Steven Boehmfeldt, an executive chef who developed establishments such as Hereford & Hops in Escanaba and The Landmark in Marquette. She also is the executive director of The Cure Teen Coaching & Life Skills Workshop, which opened in Iron Mountain in 2022.

“Growing up in restaurants and hotels, my parents instilled in me the belief that good food has the power to bring people together. This lifelong lesson is what inspired Matt and I to partner with Jesse and Erica in their vision for Oddfellows,” Heather Ruesch said.

Oddfellows recently expanded its hours to include lunch service from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Tuesday through Friday, then reopens for dinner from 4:30 to 8 p.m., extending to 9 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays.
