DCH System recognizes long-time employees

IRON MOUNTAIN – Dickinson County Healthcare System recently recognized their long-term employees and retirees at the annual Retirement and Service Awards Tea.

Held onsite in the cafeteria of Dickinson Memorial Hospital, the event recognizes both staff who have retired in the preceding year and those who have reached employment milestones.

Six staff members retired in 2014.

Lynne Perry attended and was presented with a large floral arrangement. Perry started her career with the healthcare system as a respiratory therapy aide and later became a member of the environmental services department. She retired after 32 years of service.

Other retirees included Kim Thiry, environmental services, 25 years; Linda Anderson, switchboard operator,16 years; Kay Backlund, cook in dietary services, 11 years; Andrea Cousineau, RN, charge nurse in medical-surgical-pediatric units, 11 years; and Susan Chellew, RN in home health, 10 years.

“Everyone, no matter what department they work in, keeps our patients at the center of all they do,” commented John Schon. “And our patients are indeed fortunate to receive their care from a group of such experienced employees. The level of dedication is evident in the consistent level of high quality, safe and personal care provided locally. I am personally very proud of our employees and grateful for their professionalism and commitment.”

40 Years: Patti Bjork.

30 Years: Cheryl Gardipee, Elizabeth Juneau, and Susan Ringuette.

25 Years: Mary Castor, Paul Castor, Shirley Dishaw-Beck, Wanda Gendron, Kellie Johnson, Lauri Kopp, Dawn Lanich-Seidel, Carolyn Martinez, Carol Normand, Bruce Recla, Cheryl Rose,Brenda Treiber, Lisa Walechka, and Annette Zimmerman.

Employees recognized receive corsages and service award pins. Retirees receive either a watch or a ring.
