IRON MOUNTAIN — Greenway Books will hold a grand opening at its new downtown Iron Mountain location on Friday, May 1.

The store is relocating from River Avenue in Iron Mountain to 527 S. Stephenson Ave., the same block as the Iron Mountain City Hall is located between A and B streets.

The grand opening is from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Friday starting off with a ribbon cutting ceremony.

During the grand opening, there will be food and drinks, prizes, drawings and face painting for kids.

Greenway Books has been in business in the local area for five years. The move to a new location was made to allow for the store to expand to offer more books and better accessibility for customers.

In February 2011, Greenway Books was named the Great Start Spotlight Award winner.
