North Dickinson student awarded Plum Creek Scholarship

L’ANSE – Plum Creek has awarded a $1,000 scholarship to North Dickinson County School senior Jade Driscoll.

Plum Creek annually awards scholarships to exemplary high school students who plan to continue their education after graduation. Students are recognized based on their academic achievements, participation in school and community activities and overall achievement in their high school careers.

Driscoll plans to attend Central Michigan University in Mount Pleasant to pursue a degree in child development. While in high school, she was active in Student Council, band, varsity track and the yearbook committee.

Driscoll also served as a Sunday school teacher and kindergarten student aid. She is the daughter of Tim and Colleen Driscoll.

Plum Creek’s community scholarships have been offered in selected operating states since 2007. This year, Plum Creek awarded 148 scholarships totaling $264,000 to high school seniors around the country. In Michigan, nine students were awarded 2015 Plum Creek scholarships totaling $10,000.
