Beauchamp recognized in business journal for work as physical therapist

HUNTINGTON BEACH, Calif. – Chad Beauchamp, formerly of Norway, is a physical therapist living and working in Huntington Beach, Calif. He was featured in the California Business Journal in September in an article titled, “Changing the game.”

The article notes that Beauchamp is taking physical therapy theory, practice and technique to a whole new level of excellence. One client drives two hours roundtrip just to work with him because of the ‘quality of his approach and technique.’

Beauchamp is a 2004 graduate of Norway High School, a 2008 graduate of Central Michigan University and 2011 graduate of USC earning his doctorate degree in physical therapy. He did his sports residency at the University of Cincinnati and studied sport research at Evidence in Motion. He is the son of Steve and Mary Beauchamp of Vulcan.

Beauchamp had been a multi-athletic star in Michigan and is now the owner and head physical therapist at REPAIR Sports Institute in Huntington Beach.

The article notes that Beauchamp is close to operating his business in its own separate location from the current wellness center he is at right now. That should be completed in early 2016.

The owner of the wellness center praised Beauchamp in the article for his ‘hands-on approach and overall therapy skills and knowledge. He’s the best PT I’ve ever seen – and I’ve seen a lot.”

By the time Beauchamp reached the age of 18, he had already decided on a career as a sports physical therapist. The article noted that during his high school and college years,he had suffered several injuries and surgeries which ended his dreams of a football career.

But he took his experiences in training and applied what he learned in physical therapy – constantly keeping up with the changes in the field – to get athletes and his other patients back to their activities as quickly as possible.

In the article he said he has created his own system to evaluate a patient including how a person walks and moves to discover why the patient is suffering. “I put them through a gamut of functioning testing and take in to consideration the entire person – meaning mind, boy and spirit,” he said.

In addition to being a doctor of physical therapy, Beauchamp is a board certified sports specialist, and certified strength and conditioning specialist.
