Matt Nord

MARQUETTE — Embers Credit Union has added Matt Nord as manager of commercial lending.

Nord, a native of Iron Mountain, has spent the past decade in a variety of banking roles, most recently as market president-Upper Peninsula for Great North Bank in northern Wisconsin.

He received his bachelor’s degree from Northern Michigan University and master of business administration in finance/financial institutions degree from Concordia University at Chicago.

Nord also worked as an adjunct instructor for Fox Valley Technical College’s Business Venture Center and has been a speaker and resource team member for Accelerate UP and Innovate Marquette.

He lives in Negaunee with his wife and three sons.

Based in Marquette, Embers Credit Union has five locations in the Upper Peninsula, serving individual and business members.
