IRON MOUNTAIN — A mobile home is considered uninhabitable after a fire Tuesday night in Park Ridge Park in Iron Mountain, according to the Iron Mountain Fire Department.

Iron Mountain firefighters arrived about 9 p.m. to find smoke coming from the back end of the mobile home at 1300 Michigan Ave., Lot 46.

They were able to remove the siding to expose the heavy fire and knock it down from outside so they could enter the residence and extinguish the rest of the flames.

Gas and electrical service were shut off and homeowners were notified the home was uninhabitable for now.

Firefighters determined the fire was electrical. The department cleared the site at 10:47 p.m.
