IRON MOUNTAIN –Iron Mountain Public Schools will hold a kindergarten and early kindergarten registration on Tuesday at North Elementary School of the Arts.

It will be held from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m.

North Elementary is located at 900 Fifth St., Iron Mountain.

Both early kindergarten and kindergarten classes are full days, 8:10 a.m. to 3:15 p.m., and are held five days a week. Transportation to and from school is available.

Students registering for early kindergarten and kindergarten must by 5 years of age on or before Sept. 1, 2019. A child whose birthday falls between Sept. 1, 2014, and Dec. 1, 2014, may be enrolled if parents request a waiver.

For registration, please bring an original birth certificate or a certified coy of the birth certificate, immunization record and two proofs of residency. Copies will be made and the originals returned.

Students are required to have their hearing and vision tested. The health department does this for free and a sign up sheet will be available. There will also be a sign up for kindergarten screening.

Any parents wanting to register a student for early kindergarten through sixth grade may do so at this registration or by calling the school at 906-779-2626 to set up a time to register.

Tours of the school are also available for those interested.
