SAULT STE. MARIE — A 27-year-old woman was killed Monday in a crash in Chippewa County.

The accident happened about 2:20 a.m. Monday on northbound I-75 near Six Mile Road.

Kole Rabb, 22, of Kalamazoo was driving and may have fallen asleep at the wheel, deputies said. The vehicle hit the median and rolled several times.

The passenger in the vehicle, Stacy Lynn Hough, was killed in the crash.

Rabb was taken to War Memorial Hospital in Sault Ste. Marie, where he remains with what appear to be non-life-threatening injuries, deputies said.

Rabb and Hough were a couple traveling from an Easter visit, deputies said.

The accident remains under investigation.
