BESSEMER — Two teens have died in Gogebic County after the vehicle they were in crashed into a tree early Saturday.

The accident was reported about 2:32 a.m. on Lake Road near Powers Road in Ironwood Township, after the vehicle went off the roadway and struck the tree, according to the Gogebic County Sheriff’s office.

The two killed were females ages 18 and 15. A 20-year-old man survived the crash and walked to a nearby residence to report the accident. He was treated at Aspirus Ironwood Hospital and released.

No names were given in the crash, which remains under investigation by the Gogebic County Sheriff’s office.
