‘Fireflies’ grant awarded

The Dickinson Area Community Foundation along with the Norway Area Community Foundation recently awarded a $250 mini-grant to “Fireflies,” a new non-profit agency located in Norway. The agency will serve new and expecting mothers by hosting group sessions to educate and build connections. The office is located in downtown Norway and will be holding an open house on Saturday, Oct. 12, during Leif Erickson Day Festival. From left are Tamara Juul, director of DACF, presenting the check to Brittany Anderson and Rachel Hautamaki from Fireflies. If you would like additional information on upcoming sessions, contact Rachel at Rachel.Hautamaki@firefliesglow.org. For information on available grants through the Community Foundation, contact Juul at 906-774-3131, or go to their website at www.dickinsonareacommunityfoundation.org.
