Morgan found not guilty

IRON MOUNTAIN — A 30-year-old Kingsford woman accused of selling heroin was acquitted Tuesday after a two-day trial in Dickinson County Circuit Court.

Tabitha Morgan had been charged with the delivery or manufacture of a controlled substance, a felony punishable by up to 20 years in prison. She pleaded not guilty May 7.

The verdict was returned about 6:30 p.m., according to her defense attorney, Dan Jaspen.

The KIND Drug Enforcement Team arrested Morgan on Dec. 12 for reportedly selling three packets investigators claimed contained a mixture of heroin and fentanyl.
