Two Peshtigo men accused of drug trafficking

MARINETTE, Wis. — Two people arrested Wednesday in Peshtigo, Wis., on drug trafficking charges have been transferred to Brown County to appear in federal court.

Acting on federal search and arrest warrants, the Marinette County Sheriff’s Office took into custody 41-year-old Tracy Sheldon and 42-year-old Chad Zeske, according to a news release from Marinette County Sheriff Jerry Sauve.

The arrests were made in conjunction with the New York Police Department, federal Department of Homeland Security, Brown County Wisconsin Drug Task Force and both the Marinette and Peshtigo police departments.

No further details were provided on the case. But the news release stated on behalf of the other agencies, “The direct distribution of deadly smokeable synthetic cannabinoids puts our collective communities in harm’s way.”

The investigation is ongoing with Brown County, New York City and federal officials, Sauve stated.
