Car parade planned at Crystal Falls facility on Thursday

CRYSTAL FALLS — Friends and family members of those residing at Victorian Heights Assisted Living, Skyway Rehab, and the Iron County Medical Care Facility are invited to a car parade at 1:30 p.m. Thursday.

They will have the tenants and residents outside so participants can wave, honk, and enjoy their smiling faces while you drive by.

If you’re interested in joining the car parade contact the facility by calling 906-875-6671 or emailing Jessica.schultz@ironcountymcf.onmicrosoft.com.

“If we know you or a family member will be participating in the parade, we will do our very best to get your loved one outside so they can see you,” said Jessica Schultz, assistant diversional therapy director.

They ask that you do not get out of your vehicle, but feel free to decorate signs, adorn balloons or streamers to your car, and show your loved ones how much you miss them.

The parade will start at Victorian Heights at 1:30 p.m., travel through the parking lot and under the overpass, behind the building, back by the pavilion, and around through the main Iron County Medical Care Facility parking lot, and out the main entrance.

In case of inclement weather, the parade will be rescheduled fir 1:30 p.m. Friday. Check the Facebook page or call the facility if the weather is poor for updates.

“Although we are still offering in-house activities and doing our very best to keep our tenants and residents happy, there is no one who can bring a smile to their faces like their family and friends,” said Schultz. “Help us to make this a special day for everyone.”
