The Niagara Lions Club’s scholarship program began in 1986 and over the years the club has awarded nearly $50,000 in local scholarships to Niagara graduates.

Funds for the awards have been generated through various fund raising projects, with additional financial support provided by the family of Dwayne and Joyce Smith.

The Lions scholarships this year were administered by the Niagara Area Scholarship Foundation with the scholarship selections being made by school personnel according to criteria established by the Niagara Lions Club.
