Some communities still plan to put on Fourth of July show

For those looking to take in a municipal fireworks show or other Fourth of July festivities in the region —

— In Niagara, Wis., Tim Potterville will offer a display at dusk Friday from Heights Park, in place of the fireworks usually associated with the Niagara Lions Club picnic.

— In Spread Eagle, Wis., the Spread Eagle Fireworks will be at dusk Friday, with the community’s annual boat parade set for 1 p.m. Saturday.

— In Norway, the show will start at dusk Saturday off Norway Hill. The annual Fourth of July Boat Parade on Hamilton Lakes is scheduled for 1 p.m. Saturday. Those participating are asked to meet 15 minutes before line up at the east end of Lake Louise. All boats and personal watercraft are encouraged to participate. Prizes will be awarded for Most Patriotic and Most Creative crafts.

Norway Band will be performing at the Norway Band Shell at 7:30 p.m. Saturday.

— In Iron Mountain, the show will start at dusk Saturday off Millie Hill on Iron Mountain’s east side.

— In Florence, Wis., the Florence Volunteer Fire Department’s “Fireworks over Fisher Lake” will take place at dusk Saturday at Fisher Lake Park.
