GOODMAN, Wis. –Goodman-Armstrong Creek High School senior William Bednarz has been selected to receive a 2021 Herb Kohl Initiative Scholarship Award of $10,000, the district announced.

The Herb Kohl Educational Foundation each year selects approximately 100 different Wisconsin high schools for this award.

Locally, schools determine a recipient through an internal selection process. The scholarship is awarded in the spring and is made available directly to the student’s selected higher education institution in late summer.

Bednarz plans to attend the University of Wisconsin – Stevens Point this fall to study natural resources toward gaining certification as a Department of Natural Resources warden.
