Brent Okler, owner of Northern Border Grill & Pub in Aurora, Wis., and Scott Zeuske of Superior Title & Abstract Agency of Iron Mountain, did “RiZE U.P.” to the challenge of purchasing commemorative 2021 Pine Mountain ski jump buttons for their employees. RiZE U.P. has challenged area business owners to buy the 2021 buttons for their employees to support the Kiwanis Ski Club’s fundraising efforts for the renovated Pine Mountain ski jump. RiZE will match the total amount of money generated by businesses up to $20,000. In return, each business supporting the efforts with at least a $200 donation will be recognized in The Daily News, noted on a special page in the 2022 Pine Mountain Continental Cup event program, be listed on the Kiwanis Ski Club website and their company qualifies for a prize drawing at the end of the fundraiser. The button also entitles the holder to a free tour of the new tower next summer during regularly scheduled tour hours. Businesses interested in participating can call Kiwanis Ski Club member Scott Sanders at 906-779-1774. The Kiwanis Ski Club reminds participating businesses these are commemorative buttons from 2021, not admission buttons for the 2022 event.
