NIAGARA, Wis. — Niagara’s Main Street Makeover group is sponsoring the Main Street Fun Run on Saturday, Sept. 24. The Fun Run is a family ATV/UTV ride, along northern Marinette County marked trails with three optional routes.

Riders will meet at Pit Stop Bar on Roosevelt Road in Niagara at 8:30 a.m. and breakfast will be available. At 10 a.m. participants will embark on their adventure, stopping at various establishments on the route.

The event will end with a meal at 5 p.m. at Bob’s Country Bar on County Road O in Niagara. There will be an assortment of raffles available before and after the ride.

The cost of the event is $25 per rider, and includes a stainless steel travel mug and the meal at the Country Bar. Registration is available the day of the ride, or in advance at the Pit Stop Bar, through the event Facebook page or by contacting Niagara City Hall.

For those not riding, they are welcome to meet at Bob’s Country Bar Saturday afternoon to enjoy food and beverage, and participate in additional raffles. Businesses and community members have generously donated many prizes.

Proceeds from this event will be used to purchase Christmas lighting, as well as other ongoing beautification projects.

The Fun Run is the idea of former resident Brian Rouse, who wanted to provide a means of supporting his hometown. He was aware of the efforts of Main Street Makeover, and not surprisingly, the community joined together to assist him with the group’s fundraising endeavors.

“We are overwhelmed by the generosity and spirit of the organizers and participants, and look forward to a successful day of family fun,” stated a spokesperson. “It is our hope to make this an annual event.”
