Millie Hill garlic mustard removal workday Sunday
IRON MOUNTAIN — In celebration of Earth Day, the Wild Rivers Invasive Species Coalition and Dickinson Trail Network are hosting a garlic mustard workday from noon to 2 p.m. Sunday at the Millie Hill Trail System in Iron Mountain.
Garlic mustard is an invasive species found in shaded forest understories that outcompetes native plants for space and resources.
Volunteers should dress for the weather and wear closed-toed shoes. Work/garden gloves are also recommended. A light snack and beverage will be provided. On the day of the event, volunteers should meet at the Millie Hill Trailhead by the bat cave.
