Power line starts grass fire
KINGSFORD — The Kingsford Public Safety Department responded at 2:20 p.m. Tuesday to the 400 block of Waverly Street for reports of a power line arcing, causing sparks to fall to the ground and igniting a small grass fire.
Public safety officers responding were able to extinguish the fire.
The site was then turned over to We Energies and all units were clear of the area by 3:30 p.m.
