Community Action Agency brings back Wellness Fair
ESCANABA — The Community Action Agency is excited to bring back and sponsor the Wellness Fair at the U.P. State Fairgrounds from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Eastern time Wednesday, Aug. 14, in the activities tent.
This year’s theme is “putting the pieces together for a healthier you.” Vendors will be set up to answer health-related questions and sign door prize sheets.
Sheets will be handed to visitors for vendors to sign when visiting their table. The sheets need to be turned in before 2:10 p.m. for the door prize drawings at 2:15 p.m. Visitors must be present to win.
Some of the vendors registered are AARP, Big Brother Big Sisters, Cedar Hill Medical and Assisted Living, Cornerstone Caregiving Marinette, Delta County Cancer Alliance, Public Health, Foster Grandparents, Retired Senior Volunteer Program, Senior Companion Program, Welcome Newborns, North Woods Home Care and Hospice, OSF, UPCAP, UP Health Systems, and several more.
At noon, a box lunch of ham/turkey sandwich, cucumber salad, chips, cookie, fruit cup and milk will be served for a suggested donation of $4 (at the fair). Call 906-786-8850 before Aug. 5 to register for this meal.
