IRON MOUNTAIN — The Dickinson County Road Commission is seeking information on who or what might have been responsible for throwing a substantial amount of gravel onto Waucedah Road near Hamilton Lakes early Saturday.

The commission was notified that a UTV or ATV had cast the gravel from an adjacent gravel driveway at 2610 Waucedah Road onto the roadway itself, according to a news release.

The loose gravel on the pavement created a hazard for traffic, especially motorcyclists, the DCRC advised. The gravel driveway was damaged as well.

A crew had to be sent out to sweep up the gravel.

Anyone with information on the incident is asked to contact the road commission at 906-774-1588.

Starting at $2.99/week.
