IRON MOUNTAIN — Law enforcement activity Saturday on Upper Pine Creek Road prompted a statement from Dickinson County Sheriff Aaron Rochon that there was no danger to the public and that a roadblock in the area would be lifted later that day.

Rochon’s statement was reported by WJMN-TV in response to inquiries about traffic being stopped between Williams and Woodland drives. He said, at that time, that no arrests had been made in connection to the activity where deputies were working.

The sheriff provided no information on the nature of the investigation but indicated an update would come later.
