Woodland Elementary School’s Can-A-Thon in Kingsford this year was a huge success. Their goal of 3,700 would have put them over last year’s collection but they did even better. Woodland students collected 3,933 items. Each class was paired with a “rival” class each week to add a little competition each week. The winning class received the Golden Can Award with a chocolate treat. Also by reaching their goal the entire school has earned a Decade Themed Party. Representing Woodland Elementary are students Izzabella Johnson, Chloe Mortl, Desmond Brown and Liam Castro-Ray.
