IRON MOUNTAIN — Applications for the Iron Mountain-Kingsford Independence Day parade are now available, Lake Antoine Park Partners have announced.

Forms are available at lakeantoine.org or at any local First National Bank. Completed applications and payment is due by June 20.

There will be a $30 late fee for entries submitted after due date. No entries will be accepted after June 27.

This year’s theme is “Christmas in July.” Parade will kick off at 9 a.m. The route will remain the same as in past years, it will start on Woodward Avenue, turning onto Carpenter Avenue and right on East H Street, ending in front of the VA hospital.

Patrons are asked to not to let children gather on the road, especially near the turns. They also ask the community avoid driving through or placing chairs by the staging area on Balsam for safety reasons.

Parade participants are instructed not to throw candy until the official start on Woodward.

In place of a grand marshal this year, they will utilize the space to honor the Menominee Range Museum Promotional Committee for the six years of volunteer service in organizing the Iron Mountain-Kingsford Independence Day Parade.

Starting at $3.50/week.
