This week’s Back to the Present is a view of the former Norway Chamber of Commerce.
The first photo is the postcard view of the tourist information center on Seventh Avenue/U.S. 2 in Norway. The photo is dated between 1950 and 1960.
The state of Michigan closed the Norway Chamber of Commerce in the 1960s, at which time the building was turned over to the city.
The city later sold it to the Norvulet Norway-Vulcan Loretto Veterans of Foreign Wars Post. The late Bob Devine of Norway was instrumental in the VFW acquiring the building.
The second photo is today’s view of the VFW Post home.
