Bay College plans workshops

ESCANABA — Michigan State University, along with Bay de Noc Community College, is hosting professional development workshops for Michigan teachers in the summer of 2025 on the campuses of Bay College.

Data Collection, Analysis, and Interpretation for 6-12 Math and Science Teachers Workshop is from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Eastern time on Tuesday, Aug. 5, in Escanaba and from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 7, in Iron Mountain.

Participants will switch between teacher and student mode to deepen the skills required to implement the practices in their classroom.

Each participant will receive a classroom set of materials to implement the lessons in their classroom and a $100 stipend for their attendance. Use the link at https://msu.co1.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_87wEblb2z87HmGG

Paper Airplane Engineering Workshop for K-12 Teachers will be from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Eastern time on Wednesday, Aug. 6, in Escanaba and from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 8, in Iron Mountain.

Participants will build and test paper airplane designs using paper airplane launchers to take back to their classrooms.
