GOODMAN, Wis. — Four Goodman-Armstrong Creek High School students were recently inducted into membership of the National Honor Society in a ceremony at the Armstrong Creek Town Hall.

The new members are Laynee Dwight, Lauryn Dwight, Charlie Johnson and Joseph Stec.

They were selected by a faculty council for meeting high standards of scholarship, service, leadership and character, the four key principles of the NHS Foundation, along with maintaining a minimum grade-point average of 3.5.

They join current members Krystal Moddie, Hailey Moore, Joshua Knutson and Kyle Braaten.

“It has been an honor to work with these students this year,” said Rachel Melcher, chapter advisor. “I believe that our new members will continue the tradition of meeting the standards of scholarship, service, leadership, and character at school and in the community. We at GAC are proud to recognize these students.”

The National Honor Society ranks as one of the oldest and most prestigious national organizations for high school students.

Chapters exist in more than 60% of the nation’s high schools, with millions of students selected for membership since 1921.

The Goodman-Armstrong Creek chapter has been active since 1972.

Starting at $3.50/week.
